Founded in 1877, Sala Parés is the first gallery established in Spain and one of the longest running in the world that is still active. Since then, some of the most renowned Catalan and Spanish artists have chosen it for their exhibitions. It is visited by more than 30000 people every year.
Located in the Barrio Gótico in Barcelona, Sala Parés remains in the same historic building where it was founded in 1877. Its 3 independent spaces welcome individual exhibitions from artists who share a stable connection with the gallery, as well as exhibitions from other creators with whom the gallery works occasionally.

Characteristics

Sala Parés has a 340 square meter single space divided in upper and lower floor, connected by a balcony. The lower floor, which has 200 square meters, lights up naturally thanks to a large skylight supported by 4 big columns. This space is perfect for product presentations, cultural events or filming sets. The upper floor, with 140 square meters of extra space, is perfect for hosting a cocktail or enjoying catering.
